Four years ago, we designed and handcrafted porcelain tableware for our friend and neighbour Nahoko who opened the first mochi place in Belgrade. And, it happened to be just across from our shop!
We have known Nahoko for many years and an easy-going, creatively rich collaboration was expected. She wanted bright and minimalistic porcelain inspired by Japanese culture as well as tea tradition. However, we wanted to give it a personal touch so we dug deeper all the way to the part of her name that symbolized a flower - a rapeseed flower. That inspired me to make stamps with the motive of this flower and to imprint it in translucent porcelain. And the result was simply fantastic!
